Subsidiary of NACCO Industries Gets Exclusive Contract Miner Rights for Thacker Pass

On September 25, NACCO Industries, Inc. (NC) announced that its subsidiary, Sawtooth Mining, has entered into an agreement as the exclusive contract miner for the Thacker Pass lithium project in northern Nevada. Thacker Pass is believed to be the largest known lithium deposit in the United States. Sawtooth will design, construct, operate, and maintain the Thacker Pass surface mine. The contract has a 20-year term.

 

Sonal sent an alert at 6:45 am. The stock opened for regular market trading at $56.17. NACCO’s stock price rose throughout the event day and continued its gains over the next four trading sessions. The stock closed at $64.21 on October 1 for a five-day gain of 14.3%.
